My Awards

It is always pleasant to win – doesn’t matter whether it is your first or twenty-first victory. I was lucky to experience the feeling of satisfaction from the taken efforts and happiness from the victory when on the podium. And it didn’t happen to me only once. To tell you the truth, it’s impossible for me to list all my awards, what and where I won. I just don’t remember them all. However, the major awards are still in my heart. I am happy to be the only male athlete who won two Olympic medals in acrobatics – nobody managed to do it before me. I am happy to be the Best Athlete of the Year 2006 in Belarus. And finally, I am happy that I released a post stamp “Freestyle” with my image on it. So I don’t jump in vain. And it’s not just for me. Speaking about the ski jumping awards, I will list only major achievements.

1994 – Bronze medal at World Championship for juniors (my first international award).

1998 – Bronze medal at Olympic Games in Nagano.

1998/99 – I finished World Cup Series on the second place.

2001 – Second place at World Championship.

2006 – Silver medal at Olympiad in Turin, winning of the World Cup.

2007 – Second place at World Championship.

Besides, by this moment I participated in 97 World Cup Series (I won in 10 of them, in general I was on the podium 21 times), I took part in six World Championships…

However, I hope the brightest victories are still ahead.
